The Chubby Bicycle Trailer has been specially designed to travel with compact folding bikes. It uses exactly the same technology as our multi-prize-winning Cyclone Trekking and Cyclone Cargo Bicycle Trailers. This version of the Cyclone is wider and shorter than the regular Cyclone and has a black “padded” bag. The wheels of the Chubby have the same size as the wheels on your folding bike.
Available in 5 versions: Brompton, Birdy, Airnimal, Tern Verge X and 26-29″ bike. Each version has its own dedicated wheel size and hitch ball.
With the Chubby you can travel by plane, with your bike safely stored inside the padded Chubby bag. On arrival, just take out the bike, put your luggage in and connect the Chubby to your bike to have a comfortable travel set-up with 100 litres of storage.

The Cyclone IV Chubby is a two-wheeler so it keeps itself in balance without affecting the behavior of the towing bike. With the tow bar connecting to the bike’s rear hub, your bike’s rear rack is still available for luggage.
At home the Chubby folds away real small, on the road it sports a capacity of 100 liters and 40 kg. The bag opens all around for maximum accessibility, using a 10mm YKK zipper with two lockable sliders. The TIG welded frame bushings guarantee a strong and secure connection of the wheels to the frame, even at high loads and speeds. The wheels are equipped with industrial closed bearings, ensuring minimal rolling resistance and maximum security.
When the wheels are inserted in the rear axle bushings, the Cyclone IV Chubby can be used as a walking trailer. This way you can easily cover considerable distances, even with fully loaded trailer.
When transporting the Chubby by train, tow-bar and wheels can be detached with a twist of the hand, which visually leaves only a big duffle bag. The tow-bar can easily be stored inside and the shoulder strap and the two big handles make it easy to lift.
The Cyclone IV Chubby comes with a rain cover. The Chubby rain cover is a lightweight solution to keep your trailer and its contents dry and clean. At only 105 grams, this small package will alway find a place in the huge Cyclone bag. When a shower takes you by surprise, the cover is attached in seconds and securely velcroed around the tow-bar connector. Many people leave it on all day, no matter the weather, as its visibility and protection against dirt is just as much appreciated.
The hitch fits on virtually any bike, whether with dropout or fixed rear axle and is made of stainless steel. It can be ordered separately to make more bikes ‘Cyclone-compatible’. The tow bar can be detatched in seconds. This requires only one hand, so the other hand can hold the bike.
